Welcome to my homepage!

I am a research assistant / PhD candidate at Graz University of Technology, bridging the gap between the Institute for Computer Graphics and Vision and the Institute for Paper-, Pulp- and Fibre Technology. The goal of my PhD course is to automatically unveil the 3D network structure of paper fibres (which substantially constitute the basis for a sheet of paper), by developing novel algorithms in the field of visual computing. In my research I therefore focus on practicable machine vision algorithms in the areas of object recognition, segmentation and retrieval. My research mainly concentrates on machine learning with decision trees, clustering and evolutionary game theory.
